A functionality designed for network stability and health
OliveDAO operates on epochs known as Seasons.
  • If you deposit assets as an LP or stake veOLIVE as an LD mid-Season, you’ll begin to earn OLIVE at the start of the next Season.
  • When liquidity deployment begins, your assets deposited will not be deployed as liquidity until the start of the next Season.
  • When you want to withdraw, you must first “request” to withdraw, and assets will only then be available to be fully withdrawn at the start of the next Season.
The Season functionality, designed for network stability and health, is defined as follows:

Liquidity Providers

An LP can deposit its assets into a given Asset Jar at any given time. OLIVE reward emissions for new LP deposits will begin at the start of the following season when the assets are deployed and locked for the duration of the next season.
Once LPs assets are deployed, a request function can be called for the withdrawal of specified assets. Requested assets will be claimable upon the beginning of the next Season. Once your assets are removed from deployment at the end of a Season, they will be available for the user to either claim or redeploy.

Liquidity Directors

An LD may stake veOLIVE into an Asset Jar at any time leading up to a new Season. An LD may then choose where to direct liquidity, however, the veOLIVE will not be actively directing liquidity until the rollover into the new Season. When the new Season begins, the LDs will start earning OLIVE rewards and their chosen liquidity direction will be effectuated.
Once an LDs veOLIVE is staked and the new Season begins, the chosen exchange where the liquidity has been directed will not be redirected until the start of the new Season. The LD may choose to redirect this liquidity, but it won't be enacted until the Season rolls over.
Similarly to the LP, the LD may submit a request to unvote their veOLIVE from the system, however, it will not be unvoted until the end of the current Season. When the Season ends, the veOLIVE will be staged and can then be voted again.
